Orange County staff reported that architects have delivered a pre-final Phase I report for the Old Courthouse preservation project and included initial cost estimates of roughly $4.5 million.
Peter Sandbeck, cultural resources coordinator, told the commission that the pre-final deliverable includes cost estimates for Phase I work and will be used for future budgeting and funding discussions. The commission did not take any funding action at the March 25 meeting; the figure was presented for information and planning.
Commissioners were not recorded as asking for a formal vote on funding at this meeting. Staff listed the pre-final Phase I report and the cost estimate as items to be used in subsequent planning and in any required grant or county budgeting processes.
