The village council on April 13 approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to amend the contract with Wesslor Engineering to serve as the engineering firm on the design of the Holgate regionalization project.
Mike Medina moved to approve Resolution 26-06 and Chris Healy seconded. The measure passed with Medina, Healy, Rico Valdez, Jamie Hohenberger and Nathaniel Stephey voting yes; Jeffery Rothman was absent.
Jared Wurst of Wesslor Engineering opened sealed bids for related water work at the meeting. Nine bids were submitted for the waterline project and three bids were submitted for the water plant. Wesslor will review the submissions and return a recommendation to the council for contract award.
The resolution’s text, as read at the meeting, authorizes the mayor to amend the contract with Wesslor Engineering, naming the firm as the engineering designer for the Holgate regionalization project. The motion to approve came during routine agenda business and was considered a formal council action.
The council did not vote on a bid award at the meeting; the next procedural step is Wesslor’s review and a subsequent recommendation to council. The council’s next regular meeting is April 27 at 7:00 p.m.
