Council appoints three members to advisory boards after executive session

After returning from executive session the council appointed Nicole Forman to the Cemetery Restoration Advisory Board, E.J. Thomas to the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council and Howard Burack to the Sustainability Advisory Board; all appointments passed by recorded tallies of six yes votes.
Following an executive session on Feb. 17, New Albany's City Council voted to fill several vacancies on advisory bodies.
Council appointed Nicole Forman to the Cemetery Restoration Advisory Board for a term beginning March 1, 2026 and ending Dec. 31, 2028. The motion carried with a recorded tally of six yes votes.
The council also appointed E.J. Thomas to the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council for a term through Dec. 31, 2028, and Howard Burack to the Sustainability Advisory Board to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2028. Both appointments passed with six yes votes recorded.
Clerk Mason recorded the roll calls and the mayor announced the outcomes. The council did not provide further public discussion of the appointments at the Feb. 17 meeting.
