Police HOPE initiative draws outside invitations after local coverage

He said the Boston Fire Department emailed expressing interest in the Cordata tracking data the city uses and that Wisconsin invited city staff to present the HOPE Project at an opioid conference in March.
Chief Westendorf described the interest as validation for staff efforts and noted that a staff member, Katie, is enrolled in an undergraduate substance-abuse counseling program. Council members congratulated the department and expressed hope for continued publicity.
The remarks were made as part of the City Manager’s report; no formal action was taken on the presentation.
