The Clinton County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously June 9 to set a public hearing on plans and costs for a timber planking materials letting for the Secondary Roads Department.
Resolution 2026-127, introduced and approved during the June 9 meeting, cites Iowa Code Section 26.12 and schedules the hearing for 10:00 a.m. on June 22, 2026, in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Clinton County Administration Building. The resolution directs that the plans, specifications, form of contract and cost estimate be presented at that hearing for public review and comment.
The resolution was adopted on a roll call vote with Supervisor Irwin, Supervisor George and Chairperson Daniel A. Srp recorded as voting yes. The measure sets the legal process required for public improvements whose estimated cost exceeds the competitive quote threshold under state law.
The Board did not take further action on the procurement at the June 9 meeting; the public hearing will be the next procedural step and will provide an opportunity for public comment and final Board consideration of the proposed letting.
The Board adjourned and is scheduled to meet next on June 15, 2026.
