Fulton County commissioners approve bridge contracts, appropriations and routine business

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met in regular session March 5, 2026, at 152 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, and approved a slate of routine business and infrastructure actions, including two bridge contracts and several financial transfers.
Commissioner Joe Short moved to approve the minutes of the March 3, 2026 meeting; Commissioner Jeff Rupp seconded, and the motion carried 3-0. The board then approved the day's agenda as amended to add a review of the treasurer-to-auditor balancing report and a resolution to execute a letter of support for the Fulton County Health Center.
The board authorized transfers and appropriations (Resolution 2026-159) including a $4,050 transfer for Juvenile Court computer maintenance and a $32,035 transfer related to regional planning assessments. Commissioner Jon Rupp moved the appropriations resolution and Commissioner Joe Short seconded; the vote was 3-0.
On infrastructure matters, the board entered Contract 2026-26 with The Ohio Bridge Corporation (DBA US Bridge) for the Bridge G24.6 Rehabilitation project in the amount of $685,329.78, following the Fulton County Engineer’s recommendation. The board also accepted the engineer’s recommendation to award the Bridge 24A.9 Rehabilitation project to RG Zachrich Construction Inc. for $239,097.69. Both contract actions were adopted by 3-0 votes.
The commissioners approved a procedure to sign a Purchase Order computer edit list prepared by the Fulton County Auditor in lieu of journalizing each purchase order, and they approved submitted travel requests (Resolution 2026-162). The board also adopted a resolution approving a letter of support for the Fulton County Health Center’s application for HHS Community Project Funding (Resolution 2026-163).
