CCASD board approves FY25 revised budget, FY26 warrant resolution and payroll/accounts payable vouchers

The Governing Board of the Coconino County Accommodation School District on May 8, 2025 approved the district’s FY25 May Revised Budget and the FY26 warrant resolution, and authorized payroll and accounts payable vouchers during its regular meeting in Flagstaff.

Director of Business Services Erin Tutay summarized the revisions in the FY25 May Revised Budget, saying the changes affected several primary control funds including the Maintenance and Operations Fund, Classroom Site Fund and its budget limit, the Unrestricted Capital Outlay Fund, and federal and state project FTE and expenditures. Tutay also stated that, per state statute, the annual warrant resolution must be approved, signed and submitted and that she would forward the signed resolution to Ms. Fang Martin after the meeting.

President and Superintendent Cheryl Mango-Paget approved the budget and resolution. The board also approved payroll Voucher #20 for $68,762.80 and Voucher #21 for $69,058.43. Accounts payable vouchers #2545–#2549 were approved with the following amounts: #2545 $10,608.88, #2546 $3,847.43, #2547 $7,614.56, #2548 $5,517.24, and #2549 $9,255.36.

Mango-Paget also reported on a recent presentation to the County Board of Supervisors and cautioned district schools not to rely on Secure Rural Schools funding when planning their 2026 budgets because funding levels remained uncertain. The board approved changing the August 14, 2025 meeting date to be determined due to an AACSS retreat and listed future agenda items including meal-service agreements and student/family handbooks. The meeting adjourned at 10:09 a.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
