At its June 12 meeting the Coconino County Accommodation School District Governing Board approved several personnel actions: the renewal of Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen's contract, hiring an hourly Support Specialist to assist the Director of Business Services, and acceptance of a resignation for a JDC/Jail teaching position.
Mr. Dirksen said he has led the district for four years and is prepared to continue in his role; President Cheryl Mango-Paget approved the renewal during the meeting's action items. The board approved hiring Caydee Deal as an hourly Support Specialist to provide temporary support for Director of Business Services Erin Tutay during a period of medical leave; Mr. Dirksen said auditors recommended adding checks and balances in the business office and that this position responds to that recommendation. The board also accepted the resignation of JDC/Jail teacher Vera Baron, effective Dec. 20, 2025, and approved posting the replacement position with a January 5, 2026 start date.
The meeting minutes record these approvals but do not provide documented movers, seconders, or roll-call vote tallies in the minutes.
