The License and Permit Committee approved a slate of routine renewals at its Nov. 10, 2025 meeting, including kennel, humane and pet-shop licenses; secondhand article dealer licenses; jewelry dealer renewals; and multiple massage-establishment renewals.
No applicants requested hearings for the kennel and secondhand dealer renewals and the committee approved those items by voice vote. The clerk read the lists of businesses and the committee took the grouped items together.
For the massage-establishment renewals (Item 11), the committee separated three locations for joint questioning (items a, f and i). Owner Dara Tan attended with translator Yvonne and answered questions about staffing, whether the therapist is the owner, appointment practices, and proof of local residency. The committee asked for documentation (lease) to confirm Kenosha residence after noticing an out-of-state driver—s license; Dara Tan and the translator explained the owner—s housing and school arrangements for a child and said she could provide lease documentation if needed. After questions, the committee moved and approved the renewals by voice vote.
The committee advanced routine renewal items and closed applicant hearings when no applicants appeared.
