Dr. LaTonya Pierce presented the recommended part-time hires, which included coaching positions (varsity and junior varsity football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, field hockey), cheerleading staff, adult education instructors and student workers. Effective dates ranged from July 9 to August 11, 2025. Dr. Reginald Chandler moved to approve the hires; the motion passed unanimously.
The administration also requested authority to hire non-administrative staff between July 29 and August 8, 2025; the Board approved that delegation unanimously. No public comments were recorded on these items.
The approved hires and the delegated authority allow the district to complete staffing before the start of fall inservice and student days; Human Resources and appropriate school leaders will handle onboarding and placement.
