St. James council approves $622,304 in claims, event and raffle permits

The St. James City Council on Sept. 3 approved payment of claims totaling $622,304.20 and granted two event permits during a meeting at City Hall Council Chambers.
On a motion by Councilperson Paul Harris, seconded by Councilperson Gene Hildebrandt, the council approved payment of checks and ACH items listed in the register, totaling $622,304.20. Mayor Jonathan Wilson declared the motion passed by a 5-0 vote.
The council also approved a Special Event Permit for a Multi‑Cultural Fiesta scheduled for Sept. 14, 2024, in Memorial Park. The record notes that all required documentation and fees had been received; the permit was approved on a motion by Councilperson Kathleen Hanson, seconded by Councilperson Paul Harris, by unanimous voice vote.
