The Statham City Council approved three Public Works vehicle purchases during its June 17 meeting.
Councilmember Penn moved to purchase a bucket truck from Cable East INC for $14,000; Councilmember Terilli seconded and the council voted 5-0 to approve the purchase. Councilmember Penn then moved to buy a 2019 Ford F-150 from Marietta Truck Sales for $16,996; Councilmember Patterson seconded and that purchase also passed 5-0. Finally, Councilmember Terilli moved to approve purchase of a 2018 Ford F-150 from Marietta Truck Sales for $13,795; Councilmember Bogenrieder seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
The council had earlier amended the agenda to add "VII.3 Approval of the Purchase of Three Public Works Vehicles." The minutes record vendor names and dollar amounts for each purchase but do not include financing details or an explanation of the funding source. All approvals were recorded as unanimous 5-0 votes.
