Bolton Fire Commission approves minutes; chief reports Lake House fire, marshal schedules Sunset Apartments inspections

The Bolton Fire Commission met at the Bolton Fire House on Monday, July 22, 2019. Chairman John Morianos called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and commissioners Robert Langton, John Roback, Cheryl Udin and Chris Moquin were present along with Fire Marshal James Rupert.
The commission approved the minutes of its June 24, 2019 meeting after a motion recorded as (CU/RL) and noted in the minutes as V.U.; the minutes indicate the motion passed unanimously. Bills paid in June were circulated for members' review.
Chief John Roback reported that a fire occurred the previous evening at the Bolton Lake House and that no injuries were reported. He also said the department had closed out the 2018-2019 budget.
Fire Marshal James Rupert provided the marshal's report: he said there had been a car fire on Iroquois Trail; that inspections at the Sunset Apartments are next on the inspection schedule; and that, in the past month, staff had addressed a hoarding issue with one tenant and the apartment had been cleaned up afterward.
There was no old business or new business listed on the agenda. The commission noted that no meeting is scheduled for August 2019 and set the next regular meeting for Monday, September 23, 2019. A motion to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. was recorded as (CU/RL) and marked V.U.; the minutes record the meeting as adjourned.
The minutes were signed "Respectfully submitted" by Board Clerk Janet Kurys Assard, with a note that the minutes of a subsequent meeting should be consulted for approval or corrections.
