Paoli council backs grant applications and preliminary engineering for 98 Court Street project

Representing the Redevelopment Commission, Council member Arla Jean Frazier told the Paoli Town Council on Sept. 16 that the commission wants to apply for two no-match grants to support development of 98 Court Street: the SIA Foundation Grant (deadline Sept. 30, 2025) and the Team Mobile Hometown Grant (deadline in October). The council voted 4-0 to approve applying for both grants.
The council also approved the first step of the 98 Court Street project: obtaining preliminary engineering cost estimates from consultant Cripe. The motion to seek engineering costs passed 4-0.
Theron Owen additionally moved to amend the Region 15 Project Prioritization list to add Jay Cee Park playground improvements and the 98 Court Street development; the council approved the amendment 4-0. No funding awards were reported at the meeting; the council’s actions authorize grant applications and initial planning steps only.
