The Village of Bayside Architectural Review Committee on May 19 approved a plan to replace an existing cedar fence with a 4-foot-high black aluminum fence around the rear of the property at 8839 North Greenvale Road.
Trustee Ben Minkin, who identified himself as the homeowner and serves as the committee's trustee liaison, presented the project and said it would replace the cedar fence with approximately 330 linear feet of 4-foot-high black aluminum fencing. He told the committee the installation would include two gates, with a double gate on the south side of the house.
“The proposed project is the construction of 330 lineal feet of four-foot-high black aluminum fence,” Ben Minkin said while presenting the application to the committee.
Committee members voted to approve the project “as described and presented in the application.” The record shows the motion carried 3-0, with Trustee Ben Minkin abstaining from the vote because he is the property owner; the transcript does not identify who made or seconded the motion to approve the project.
Earlier in the brief meeting, the committee also approved the May 5, 2025 minutes on a motion by Trustee Ben Minkin, seconded by Committee Member Jeffrey Harrington; that motion carried unanimously. Chairperson John Krampf called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m., and the meeting adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
The committee did not record additional conditions, amendments, or follow-up tasks in the transcript. Meeting minutes were prepared by Emma Baumgartner, Assistant to the Village Manager.
