DDA approves $3,647.50 facade reimbursement for Salter Sisters LLC

Economic Development Director Taylor Smith presented completion photos and a cost summary showing total project costs of $7,295 and eligible reimbursable expenses of $3,647.50. Mayor Pro-Tem Troy Chaney moved to approve the reimbursement and Chairwoman Catherine Baity seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Smith told the board that one of four outstanding facade projects currently has a reimbursement request on hand and that Doughmain Properties (H.J. Wings & Things) should be ready for reimbursement at the May meeting. He also reported that Milltown Bath & Candle is progressing on renovations at the former Family Dollar property and is expected to wrap up in the coming months.
The board’s approval covers the specified reimbursable expenses as presented; no further conditions or splits of funding were recorded in the meeting minutes. The board did not record individual roll-call vote tallies beyond the meeting note that motions carried unanimously.
The DDA will revisit other pending reimbursements and facade program details at its next regular meeting on May 21, 2026.
