Council approves Breakwall Bottle Shoppe license and accepts liquor-store logo as construction continues

The Two Harbors City Council unanimously voted Nov. 25 to adopt a resolution authorizing the Breakwall Bottle Shoppe to apply for an off-sale liquor license. The motion to adopt Resolution No. 11-430-24 was made by Conner and seconded by Omarzu and carried by all members present.
Council members also approved acceptance of Logo Option #5 for the Breakwall Bottle Shoppe as recommended by Liquor Store Manager David Ellquist. Earlier in the meeting staff reported that construction of the new liquor store is moving quickly toward completion and that councilors would schedule a tour of the facility once key items are finished.
The consent agenda and subsequent resolutions included several professional-service invoices and construction pay applications related to municipal projects, but councilors treated the liquor-store license and branding decisions as routine, approving them by unanimous vote.
