Longswamp supervisors accept July financial reports and approve 2023 audit for advertisement

The Longswamp Township Board of Supervisors on Aug. 13 approved routine financial business, including the July 2024 Treasurer’s Report and authorization to advertise the completed 2023 Year End Audit and Financial Report.
Secretary/Treasurer Joni McPike reviewed the July report, which the minutes record as showing $2,577,338.30 in township general funds and $1,572,467.80 in additional township funds, for a combined total of $4,149,806.10. The board voted to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented, subject to audit.
The board also approved processing interim disbursements totaling $321,656.75 and fund transfers totaling $43,890.76 for the period July 10, 2024 through Aug. 13, 2024; the minutes record a roll-call with Mark Hilbert, Mike Sacks and Chairman Don Hickman voting yes. The board approved release of a single on-lot sewer escrow refund for 162 Cook Street in the amount of $850.24 and approved a requested real estate tax refund of $73.72 for 287 Walker Road.
McPike presented the 2023 financial audit prepared by Long & Barrell; the board voted to accept the audit and approve it for advertisement as the township’s Year End Audit & Financial Report.
The board’s approvals followed standard motions with seconds recorded and concluded with votes described in the minutes as “all in favor.”
