Supervisor Mike Sacks described witnessing after-hours use of Pavilion facilities and raised the need for better signposting about required Township fishing badges. Resident Ron Young asked how the township could legally investigate unauthorized pavilion use, including running vehicle tags; Solicitor Beth Kohl responded, "the Township does not have the legal ability to run tags," and the board directed Office Administrator Allison Fuller to research park rules and bring proposed updates to a future meeting.
Board members said fishing badges—sold by the township to fund pond stocking—are required in addition to a State fishing license, and discussed clearer signage to remind anglers of the badge requirement. The board approved a $250 fee waiver for Pavilion #1 on Aug. 9, 2024 for the Brandywine Heights Music Booster Club after finding the request met the township's Fee Waiver Policy, and approved a $72 refund to D K Plumbing for a missed Swamp Fest booklet advertisement.
Supervisor discussion included the possibility of revising Park & Recreation by-laws; that item was tabled pending additional review. The board did not adopt new enforcement authorities at the meeting; next steps are a staff review of park rules and a report at a future meeting.
