Centerville work session: ordinance adopted on third reading, asset-management amendment approved

At its Nov. 25 work session the Centerville council suspended rules to proceed to third reading and adopted an ordinance (title read as 'Workplace number for 2025-09') and approved amendment No. 3 to the asset-management plan; both measures passed by council vote.
During the Nov. 25 work session the Centerville Town Council moved several formal actions beyond the insurance vote.
The Chair requested suspension of the rules to proceed to third and final reading and adopt an ordinance. The Clerk read the ordinance title aloud as 'Workplace number for 2025-09.' The motion to suspend the rules and adopt on third reading was seconded; the Clerk called the vote and the Chair announced the motion carried.
Separately, the council considered Amendment No. 3 to the town’s asset-management plan. The Chair moved to approve the amendment and to authorize the Chair to sign; the motion was seconded, the Clerk called the vote and the Chair announced the motion carried.
The work session also included a discussion about waste warrants and a review of possible new trash-tote systems (different sizes, animal-proof designs, vendor demonstrations). Staff agreed to arrange demonstrations of trucks and tote options for council review.
The council scheduled its next regular meeting for Dec. 9, 2025, at 7 p.m. and adjourned the Nov. 25 work session.
