Main Street Director Ashley Roberson reported that the recent Galantines Festival was successful and that downtown businesses experienced solid turnout, the council minutes show. Roberson told the Feb. 17 all-committees meeting that the next major downtown event, Spring Fest, is scheduled for April 25, 2026, and that she is organizing a volunteer planning committee that has 13 people signed up so far.
Roberson also said she is working to obtain banners for the downtown streetlights. Mayor Pro Tem James Collins noted that Cone Crazy is hosting a pop-up breakfast during Feb. 16–20; Roberson and staff will coordinate downtown promotions and event logistics.
