Shorewood Council adopts ordinances, resolutions and fee schedule in unanimous session

At its Jan. 13 meeting the Shorewood City Council approved a slate of ordinances, resolutions and administrative items including zoning amendments for micro-unit dwellings, updates to land-use fees, acceptance of public‑works project completions and the 2025 Master Fee Schedule.
The Shorewood City Council on Jan. 13 adopted multiple ordinances and resolutions across planning, finance, parks and public works.
The council approved Ordinance 612 — amendments to City Code Chapter 1201 to allow "Sacred Communities" and micro-unit dwellings — following a staff presentation noting the changes align city code with newly adopted state statutes. Councilmember Sanschagrin moved to adopt Ordinance 612; Councilmember Gorham seconded, and the motion passed.
Council members also adopted Ordinance 613 to amend administration procedures and add performance standards to Conditional Use Permits and Interim Use Permits. The council approved publication of both ordinances.
On finance matters, the council adopted Ordinance 614 (Utility and Recycling Charges) and Ordinance 615 (Land Use Fees). The body additionally approved Resolution 25-002 adopting the 2025 Master Fee Schedule and authorized summary publication for Ordinance 615.
Routine consent items approved included acceptance and final payment for the 2024 Manhole Rehabilitation Project (City Project 24-02), final acceptance for the 2023 Drainage and Utility Improvements (City Project 23-05), personnel policy and AFSCME MOA updates (Resolution No. 25-004), and other administrative items.
The council also adopted Resolution No. 25-003 designating 2025 annual appointments and liaisons for commissions and intergovernmental committees, and Resolution No. 25-013 approving the Parks and Recreation Field Use Policy (see separate article).
The meeting record shows each motion was made, seconded and recorded as "Motion passed," with no further roll-call tallies printed in the minutes.
