Committee members asked detailed implementation questions. Colonel Gough asked whether teachers would actually have the referenced materials in classrooms; Dr. Stratos said instructional reviews and PLCs capture lesson plans and artifacts and that these materials may be located in teacher PLC folders, desks, or in Rubicon depending on school protocol. Pastor Gordon asked about end‑of‑course (EOC) exams; Dr. Stratos said the district’s usage makes the EOC worth 20 percent of a student’s grade and explained retake policies and how course and exam results interact.
Members also questioned teacher workload and data entry for large algebra classes on a block schedule; Dr. Stratos said many assessments are administered electronically (Google Classroom, Rubicon) and that planning periods and the duty‑day structure are intended to provide time for required administrative tasks, with final grade reporting coming from PowerSchool.
After discussion, the Chair moved to add OE12 to the consent agenda; Leah seconded and the committee approved the motion by voice vote.
The committee recorded no policy vote on OE12 itself during this meeting; the item will appear on the consent agenda for a future formal board action.
