Village Manager Andy Pederson told trustees the proposed project would design 325,894 gallon capture credits, credited at $1.26 per gallon, yielding an overall grant of about $410,000 that would be reimbursed to the village after installation is complete. Pederson said the village facilitated the joint application with the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and the Shul to mitigate stormwater impacts in the study area.
Trustee Mike Barth moved to approve the purchase agreement; Trustee Bob Rudman seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board did not set construction or implementation dates during the meeting; Pederson noted the agreement is part of the Brown Deer Road and Lake Drive Stormwater Study.
Public Works Director Shane Albers later summarized the village’s broader 2025 capital work, noting that milling and paving for the road and stormwater management project is underway and that the MMSD credit agreement complements those efforts.
