Bayside gives updates on 2025 capital projects; Ellsworth Park courts to close in July for upgrades

Public Works Director Shane Albers updated the Village of Bayside Board of Trustees on 2025 capital projects during the May 15 meeting.
Albers said the 2025 tree-trimming project is complete. Upgrades to the pickleball and tennis courts at Ellsworth Park will occur in July and will add six additional courts; the courts will be closed while work is completed. He reported that construction on the West Glencoe Place sanitary sewer project is expected before the 2025 road project, which is estimated to be completed by Labor Day. Work on a Port Washington Road sidewalk project is expected to start in mid-June.
Albers also said a village solar project is in progress and scheduled to finish by the end of the month. He noted that Brown Deer Road Lake Drive received grant approval from MMSD and the village is awaiting word on additional grant funding.
