Clerk reports audit schedule, levy certification and election preparations; meeting dates set

Clerk‑Treasurer Alana Paumen reported audit preliminary information has been entered into the CaseWare portal and a box of documents was delivered to the CPA; field work is scheduled Nov. 12–15, 2024. She said proposed levy certification forms were submitted showing a 3% increase for both township funds in accordance with the annual meeting approval.
Paumen also reported the township's election preparations: election judges have been scheduled, including five new judges, and equipment pickup and testing were imminent. An August recycling report and a notice from CenterPoint Energy about a rate increase were presented for the record.
The board set calendar items: the Nov. 5 meeting was moved to Thursday Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. (the Board of Canvas will meet that night); the reorganizational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m.; and the Board of Audit meeting is set for Tuesday Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
