The Village of Bayside Board of Trustees on Feb. 10 voted to adjourn into closed session under Wisconsin Statute Section 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment and performance-evaluation data for the Village Manager.
Trustee Margaret Zitzer moved to adjourn to closed session and Trustee Mike Barth seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The closed session lasted approximately 12 minutes, according to the meeting minutes. The board reconvened in open session and Trustee Mike Barth provided a summary of the Village Manager's 2025 performance evaluation. The minutes record the summary but do not include substantive evaluation findings, numerical ratings, or personnel actions.
Because the discussion concerned a personnel evaluation, minutes appropriately record only the statutory authority and that a summary was provided; no disciplinary or employment actions are recorded in the open minutes.
