River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2024/25 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District board adopted its fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and approved a special-assessments resolution during the board's Aug. 27, 2024 public hearing.

During the hearing, District Manager Chuck Adams noted the budget in the agenda contained errors; board members agreed to correct scrivener issues, including clarifying the "Street sweeping" description. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.

On a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, Resolution 2024-07, "Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025," was adopted as amended. The board recorded the vote as "with all in favor."

The board then opened the public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, "Making a Determination of Benefit and Imposing Special Assessments for Fiscal Year 2024/2025." No residents spoke. The board agreed to delete references to "Exhibit B" in the document and, on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Twombly, adopted the amended resolution, again with all in favor.

Both measures were recorded in the minutes as adopted by unanimous vote of the supervisors present. The board did not provide a detailed roll call tally in the minutes beyond the recorded "with all in favor" language. The resolutions direct district staff to finalize any ministerial edits and proceed with the assessment roll and budget implementation steps required by statute.
