River Ridge CDD adopts loan amendment, approves $173,367.78 ditch-cleaning contract

The River Ridge Community Development District board on June 25 adopted Resolution 2024-05 to amend the use of proceeds for its Improvement Revenue Note, Series 2024, and authorized a first amendment to the loan agreement with Synovus Bank.
On motions by board members, both the resolution and a separate contractor approval passed unanimously. The board also approved MRI Construction, Inc.'s estimate for dry retention flow-way ditch cleaning adjacent to River Course Holes No. 6 through No. 8 for $173,367.78. District Manager Chuck Adams said loan proceeds will cover drainage projects as part of the original scope and that staff included the irrigation project with a 10% contingency.
Mr. Blumenthal moved to adopt Resolution 2024-05 and Mr. Mountford seconded; the motion passed "with all in favor." A second motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, approved the MRI Construction estimate for $173,367.78; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
The board discussed a separate McCullers Construction Services & Consulting LLC revised quote of $277,550 to install a new well, including consideration of South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) water restrictions and long-term water-use reductions; no action was taken on the well estimate and the item was tabled for future reconsideration.
Other routine business approved or recorded at the meeting included acceptance of unaudited financial statements as of May 31, 2024, approval of the May 28, 2024 regular meeting minutes as amended and a motion recommending the Fining Committee review homeowners who removed littorals from a lake bank. The board adjourned at 2:43 p.m.
