The Paoli Town Council voted unanimously on Dec. 2 to declare 215 Horton Avenue an unsafe premise and authorize corrective action, including demolition and removal of a burned trailer.
Town Attorney Lyn Tucker Fullen opened the public hearing at 6:05 p.m., and Code Enforcement Officer Benji Farris told the council that the property owner, identified in the file as Mr. Martin, had received a notice and had not complied with orders to remove debris and clean the property. Based on that report, Fullen suggested the council adopt the findings of fact presented by Farris.
Councilmember Mylea Pluris moved to accept the recommendation and proceed with demolition; Arla Jean Frazier seconded the motion. The council approved the action 5-0. The public hearing closed at 6:09 p.m.
The minutes do not record a timetable for demolition or the estimated cost; they note only that the town should proceed with corrective action to perform complete demolition and removal of the burned trailer.
