Eric Parsley of Commonwealth Engineers presented the project scope and funding availability to the council. According to the presentation, engineering fees associated with the project total $594,000 and will be paid from the grant money rather than local operating funds.
Council members discussed funding details during the meeting; the motion to approve the agreement was made by Arla Jean Frazier and seconded by Donna Dillard. The council did not set a construction timeline in the meeting minutes; project administration and next steps were presented as part of Commonwealth’s scope.
