Skyline council accepts treasurer's report, approves bills and schedules fall cleanup

At its Sept. 9 meeting the Skyline City Council accepted the treasurer’s report and voted to pay outstanding bills, citing August receipts of $20,769.85, August payables of $83,497.74 and a total fund balance of $1,006,244.58.
Shirley Piepho moved to accept the treasurer's report and to pay the bills; Michelle Kotila seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Councilmember Lon Whitehead presented the report and noted the Water Tower/Pump House project fund balance of $427,881.84.
The council also reported that all easements tied to recent work have been signed and settlement checks distributed to impacted residents. Charlie Berg asked about a fall cleanup; Lon Whitehead confirmed a cleanup will occur on Oct. 12. The council noted Oct. 14 is a legal holiday and will hold its regular October meeting on Oct. 15.
Public safety and departmental notes: the warning siren was tested and found working. Water and street department staff were absent or had no updates at the meeting.
