Director reports expanded youth programs, strong vendor interest and new full-time events hire

The director described a partnership with CAPS and the police department to expand after-school programming, with plans to offer activities and homework help Monday through Thursday from about 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. "We're gonna run with that Monday through Thursday... and have homework help," the director said, adding her intent to target middle- and high-school students while remaining open to younger children.
On staffing and logistics, the director said she hired Corinne, who worked with staff last summer, into a full-time events role to coordinate vendors and meetings. She also said the festival park timeline is being planned to start around Sept. 1 so the market season can run through August.
The director asked members to review vendor feedback and indicated staff will bring more detailed schedules and logistics to future meetings.
