The Statham City Council convened on April 1, 2025, approved two sets of meeting minutes and completed a routine public hearing and work session that included department reports, ordinance introductions and community event announcements.
Councilmember Terilli moved to approve the March 18 and March 31, 2025 meeting minutes; Councilmember Bogenrieder seconded. The recorded roll call vote was Terilli, Bogenrieder, Patterson (by phone), Penn and Burnette voting yes; the motion passed 5‑0.
The council received reports from the Finance, Police and Public Works departments and heard committee updates from Statham Tree & Beautification and Statham Events. City Attorney Jody Campbell introduced two ordinances (O‑25‑02, a Light Pollution Ordinance, and O‑25‑05, a Wine Store Ordinance); City Administrator Cheryl Venable discussed Edee’s Rental Agreement. Joshua Mossman announced the National Day of Prayer on May 1 and a Police Appreciation Parade on May 6 and later offered public comment praising the council’s budget work.
An agenda item titled 'Statham Police Department Additional Traffic Unit' was removed from the agenda and was not discussed or acted upon during the meeting. Councilmember Terilli later moved to adjourn; Councilmember Burnette seconded and the roll call vote to adjourn was recorded as 5‑0. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
