The Skyline City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 13 to submit the final payment for the citys water treatment project and to approve change order #6 to complete remaining work.
Bryan Petzel of ISG told the council the final payment will be submitted in February 2025 as the project nears completion. The council then approved a change order described in meeting minutes as adding a 4-inch valve, a reducer, bypass piping, additional water testing and a single-phase pump, and extending contract times to accommodate final punch-list items. The motion to approve change order #6 was made by Councilmember Steve Romnes, seconded by Councilmember Michelle Kotila, and passed unanimously.
The council previously has monitored the pump house and related updates; the change order was presented as a final technical and timing adjustment to close out construction tasks. Meeting records show the city retains $232,086.40 in funds earmarked for the Water Tower/Pump House project in the December treasurers report.
The council recorded no abstentions or recorded opposition on the motions. The next administrative step noted in the meeting was submission of payment #12 in February 2025, after which staff and the contractor will work through remaining punch-list items referenced in the change order.
