ICC seeks one-year extension to acquire gym building; Selectmen to review finances

Phil Elkin, identified in the record as the head of the ICC board, told Selectmen the group, now in its 18th year, had made progress on community programming but could not finalize the acquisition this year because of pandemic-related fundraising and logistical delays. The Selectmen agreed to request a detailed financial update from the ICC and to review the current rental agreement to determine extension terms and whether a town meeting vote would be required.
The board did not take final action at the meeting; it scheduled follow-up once the ICC provides financial statements and clarifications.
