The motion to approve the renewal was moved by Commissioner Jon Smelker, seconded by Commissioner Marsha Bassett, and carried unanimously.
At the same meeting the board adopted Resolution #26-16, naming Eric Zuza as the county’s trustee and Deputy County Administrator Tammi Price as alternate trustee to the Board of Trustees for the West Michigan Health Insurance Pool (WMHIP). The resolution was moved by Commissioner Catherine Getty and seconded by Commissioner Marsha Bassett; the motion carried unanimously.
County staff presented the renewal as a single package that covers liability, vehicle physical damage, property and crime coverage for the coming year. The board authorized the member representative to sign the renewal agreement. No amendments or alternative coverage levels were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board’s insurance renewal and trustee designation were recorded as routine governance actions; no additional fiscal votes or budget reappropriations were presented at the meeting.
