Brian Crooks, Planning and Zoning Director, told the council that planning staff is drafting updates to irrigation requirements and other revisions to the Unified Development Ordinance. Crooks also described a three-part stormwater framework that emphasizes maintenance, planning, and public education as the preferred approach for the city’s stormwater work.
Crooks provided these items as staff work-in-progress; he did not present ordinance language or an implementation schedule at the workshop. Staff will return with proposed code language and an operational plan for stormwater maintenance, planning and education.
