At its Sept. 18 meeting, the Franklin City Council adopted Resolution 2017-45 accepting the amounts and tax rates for 2018 as certified by the Warren County Budget Commission. City Manager Sonny Lewis said this action completes the city’s tax-budget process that began in June. The motion to adopt was made by Councilman Todd Hall and seconded by Carl Bray; the recorded vote showed all members voting in favor and the motion passed.
Council also approved Resolution 2017-46, authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Lynnette Dinkler to serve as Acting Law Director, fulfilling the city charter requirement for a Law Director. Lewis noted Ms. Dinkler was present at the meeting. The motion to adopt was made by Todd Hall, seconded by Paul Ruppert, and passed by recorded vote.
Both items were procedural but represent final steps in ongoing administrative and legal staffing functions; no further debate or amendments were recorded.
