Public commenters ask council to review Parker Street lot combinations and request 17th Street access for logging

Jordan’s second item concerned his client’s property on Highway 17, where the State would not permit a driveway. He asked for access from 17th Street instead. Public Works Director Jimmie Cohen expressed concern about frequent flooding on 17th Street; Jordan said his client intends to install a 40‑foot culvert with geotextile rock to mitigate the issue, will submit the required culvert permit application, and will repair any damage that might occur.

Janet Health encouraged more city activity on Woodbine’s north end, announced a Nov. 13 meeting at the Woodbine Library with District 1 Commissioner Robbie Cheek at 6:00 p.m., and asked that a city representative attend; City Administrator Samantha Young asked for the event itinerary to post on the city marquee. Rhetta Sutton inquired about access to the city's email distribution list to share community events; Young said Ms. Sutton would need to provide a list of intended recipients to be added to the email chain.
