Boswell council elects leadership, assigns liaisons and hears public works updates

At its Jan. 14 meeting, the Boswell Town Council voted Mike Brody council president for 2025, assigned liaisons for water, wastewater and town hall functions, selected Benton Review as the newspaper of record, and received routine reports on snowplow activity and wastewater equipment repairs.
The Boswell Town Council recorded several administrative actions and operational reports at the Jan. 14 meeting. Council members voted Mike Brody as council president for 2025 and assigned liaison roles: Jake Foster as water liaison, Mike Brody as wastewater liaison and Kylee Senesac as town hall liaison (covering the clerk, police and community center). Benton Review was selected as the newspaper of record.
In department updates, Water Superintendent Jim Turner said snowplow operations have consumed much of his time. Wastewater Superintendent Travis Barrett was absent responding to a fatal crash call; the minutes note a wastewater blower failed and is being repaired with new bearings while the department obtains a quote for a replacement unit. The marshal was also out on the same fatal crash call.
The council approved routine administrative items, including prior meeting minutes and accounts payable, and scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 11, 2025.
