Natrona board reports March SPE caseloads: 79 cases reviewed; diversion programs accepted 34

The Natrona County Community Juvenile Services Board reviewed Single Point of Entry (SPE) data for March and for the January–March quarter during its April 28 meeting.
The March SPE report showed 79 cases were reviewed: 29 were filed with the courts (4 to Juvenile District Court and 25 to Circuit Court), 34 were accepted into pre-court programming (21 to MFRC and 13 to Youth Diversion), and 11 tickets were held. The top offense categories in March included MIP–Tobacco (18), possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) (9), MIP–Alcohol (9), simple battery (14), theft under $1,000 (6), fighting in public (6) and unlawful contact (5).
For January–March 2026 the board reviewed 185 cases: 68 were filed with the courts (7 to Juvenile District Court, 62 to Circuit Court), 92 were accepted into pre-court programming (50 to MFRC, 41 to Youth Diversion, 4 to Community Service), and 20 tickets were held. Board members heard that tickets held are often new citations on current cases that are addressed through revocation processes.
WYSAC is expected to provide a draft needs-assessment report by May 8, and a Trust representative (Regi) is expected to provide a draft the week of the meeting. The board noted these data and did not take additional formal action on SPE at this meeting.
