Gray Main Street announces Hometown Spring Fest for April 25; DDA strategic planning set for April 28

Main Street Director Ashley Roberson told the Gray mayor and council at the April 20 All Committees meeting that Hometown Spring Fest will take place April 25, 2026, and will include 50 vendors, six food trucks, a concert, a 5K at 9:00 a.m., a dog show, inflatables, a car show and a cornhole tournament.
Roberson also said Georgia Main Street will hold a strategic planning session with the Downtown Development Authority at the Gray/Jones Business Development Office on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and she invited the mayor and council to attend.
During the Plan Committee portion of the meeting, local entrepreneur Ava Dunlap introduced Ava Kate's Confections, said she launched the business in late 2025 and provided cookies and cupcakes for council members to sample. Mayor Pro Tem James Collins asked that a temporary-businesses item be added to the May all-committees meeting for further discussion.
