The Board of Selectmen unanimously accepted the resignation of Monica Logan from the Town of Granby Board of Education and appointed John R. Limeburner to fill the vacancy at its May 4 meeting.
The board voted 5–0 to acknowledge Logan’s resignation, effective April 16, 2026. The board then voted unanimously to appoint John R. Limeburner, recommended by the Democratic Town Committee, to the Board of Education for a term expiring Nov. 2, 2027.
According to the meeting record, Limeburner, described as a West Granby resident, public educator and father, expressed his commitment to supporting students and teachers, maintaining high educational standards, and promoting civility and understanding on the board while learning from more experienced members.
No public comment occurred on the appointment at the May 4 meeting. The board’s action fills the seat previously held by Liz H. Barlow.
