The Greenburgh Zoning Board of Appeals approved minor alterations to previously granted variances for a two‑lot subdivision at 450 and 460 Tarrytown Road (case 2413A), after the applicant’s engineer described a slightly thicker new facade that reduced measured side‑yard distances by about an inch to 1.25 inches.
Diego Villareal, a licensed professional engineer with JMC representing White Plains 450 Realty LLC, said the building footprint and steel are unchanged; the differences were limited to facade panels that project about an extra 1.25 inches on each side and reduce the combined side‑yard total by roughly 2.5 inches. Villareal said the change was discovered during survey work required for the final subdivision plat and that town counsel and the building department advised any modification requires board amendment.
Board members asked to see photos of the facade treatment; Villareal pointed to submitted images showing new cladding and explained that the change is concentrated along the front of the building and would not alter construction or the building footprint. After questions, a motion to amend the previously granted variances carried on an affirmative voice vote; the board concluded the variation was minor and would not materially affect the earlier findings.
What’s next: The board said draft findings will be prepared and filed; final plat and planning approvals remain subject to the conditions of the planning board and building department.
