The Truman City Council approved several procurement and payment items at its Sept. 3 meeting.
Council voted to approve payment of claims totaling $181,416.56 (checks #42182–#42194, #42221–#42249, ACH #906E–#912E, and #501543E). The council separately approved pay request #3 to Mensing Construction for $57,817.09 and authorized a $7,000 change order to grade the seventh lot in the Jones Subdivision.
Councilor Chris Mosloski moved to purchase eight used council chamber chairs priced at $40 each; the motion passed unanimously. The items were approved on separate motions: the Mensing pay request moved by Ron Kelley and seconded by Brian Nickerson; the Jones Subdivision change order moved by Chris Mosloski and seconded by Ron Kelley.
Why it matters: The decisions complete routine contractor payments and approve a small construction change order that adjusts grading for a residential lot, while the billing approvals advance contractor compensation for ongoing public works projects.
