Chrisney sets 2026 budget timeline; MVH additional appropriation of $17,000 advertised

Kim also said a Notice to Taxpayers for a Motor Vehicle Highway (MVH) additional appropriation of $17,000 was published July 30. She said she will provide Ordinance #2025-7—an appropriation and tax-rates ordinance—at the Sept. 8 meeting; the minutes note the ordinance can be introduced and adopted that day.
No public hearing on the appropriation was held Aug. 4; the council scheduled further action for the Sept. 8 meeting and recorded the advertisement of the notice in the July 30 paper.
The schedule places the budget adoption on Oct. 6, consistent with the town’s published timeline in the minutes.
