Lower Pottsgrove officials follow Limerick data-center hearings; standing decisions dominate early sessions

Commissioner James Hutchinson and Township Manager Edward C. Hutchinson and Wagner said the hearing lasted about three hours and that some Lower Pottsgrove residents were granted standing while others were denied. Manager Wagner and Hutchinson expect multiple additional hearings and said they will follow the process; Wagner said he will attend virtually as needed.
Commissioner Eileen Bailey noted she had read that data centers can increase soil temperatures by 10–15 degrees, which she described as a substantial concern for nearby properties. Wagner said he expects a presentation at an upcoming hearing that should provide more technical information.
No formal Township action was taken on the data-center proposal at the May 4 meeting; the Township’s role at this stage is monitoring and coordinating representation at hearings.
