Neighbors urge council to reject 62‑unit condominium proposal near semi‑rural Yorba Linda neighborhoods
Summary
Speakers living near the proposed 62‑unit project on Yorba Linda Boulevard told the council the development would worsen traffic, reduce parking, threaten equestrian trails and be incompatible with the semi‑rural character; they urged the council to deny the project at the next hearing.

Several residents addressed the council about a proposed 62‑unit condominium project on Yorba Linda Boulevard, urging rejection based on safety, parking and neighborhood‑character concerns.
John Delap said the development ‘‘really doesn’t belong in that spot’’ and warned of more vehicles using a single entrance, pedestrians walking on streets without sidewalks, and insufficient on‑site parking. He said a developer request to use a neighboring parcel for parking illustrates anticipated shortfalls in the project’s design.
Nancy Pfeiffer, a long‑time resident, said the semi‑rural streets have no sidewalks or shoulders, several blind crests and are used for equestrian access; she argued that the traffic study overlooked key nearby streets and that the neighborhood lacks infrastructure to support the density proposed. ‘‘We are speaking for responsible growth,’’ she said, asking the council to preserve horse‑friendly policies and trail connectivity.
Both speakers urged the council to consider safety liabilities and potential future litigation tied to approving an incompatible project. The council did not take a vote on the project at this meeting; Delap said the item will return to the council for decision in two weeks.
