Michael Crump presented a Main Street update at the June 10 meeting, reporting recent and planned community events and business openings.
Crump noted a ribbon-cutting for Royal Package Store on Lee Street and said the Cruise In & Concert at Wellness Community Park drew a good turnout. He said Friday-night programming benefited the TAMS and noted a new business is opening soon on Church Street. Crump also announced an upcoming Clay Page concert scheduled for Sept. 19, 2025.
Mayor Keith Turman added that two businesses had offered to sponsor a planned BBQ cookoff and would purchase trophies for the event. The update was informational; no council action was recorded on the Main Street items.
